Bass Kennels is located in Eastern NC.
We have been raising quality Miniature Dachshunds since 1998, 6 yrs ago we started our Boston terrier Program and recently we have begun our own Shih Tzu breeding program. Our Kennel truly a family operation. My daughter in law and my daughter have already started their own kennel. They also have their puppies on my site.

Our puppies are registered with AKC and or CKC.

We love our babies and want only the best homes for them. Please be aware that raising a puppy requires time, patience and love. Puppies also need regular veterinary care, so it is not cheap to properly care for one. Before you purchase a puppy, be sure before you take on the commitment.

We take breeding seriously. Our adult dogs are thoroughly examined yearly by our vet. We strive to constantly improve our breeding program. We do not breed dogs that  we or our vet feels are not a asset to our program.

Our puppies are raised indoors and are on a vaccination and deworming schedule recommended by our vet.  Our puppies are vet examined before leaving here . We stand behind every puppy we sell. Puppies are ready to leave between 8 & 12 weeks depending on breed and size.  You will find that our puppies are well socialized, if not spoiled rotten! Our family  spends plenty of time with these babies, to get them prepared to leave our home. Under no circumstances do puppies leave before 8 weeks old, so please don't ask.
Our dogs and puppies mean a great deal to us. We only want them in homes that will love them and care for them as we have. Our Prices are firm. It cost a great deal to properly care for these babies and their parents. I will not sacrifice their care to compete with cheap prices found in the newspapers or on the Internet.

While we hope you can come out and pick your new puppy up in person, we realize that may not always be possible. Shipping is available to most areas.

We do not  sell to pet stores or puppy mills. We will sell to other responsible breeders.



We do offer safe shipping to most airports through Delta airlines or Continental airlines. Shipping is $250 for Continental or Delta  this covers the airfare, insurance, crate and health certificate.

We require a $100 deposit to hold the puppy. The deposit is non refundable unless something happens to the puppy while in our care. The balance must be paid by the time the puppy is 8 wks old unless other arrangements are made. Once we have discussed you sending a deposit, we allow 4 days for the deposit to reach us by mail. If it is not received by then, the puppy will be offered for sale again.
The purchase contract needs to be printed and mailed or faxed to us at the time the deposit is made. You need only to fill out the part with your name, address, phone number and requested airport if shipping. Click here for the purchase contract
We accept payment by cash or money order.  If picking up the puppy in person, cash only. Personal Checks and Paypal(add 3 % handling fee) are accepted for deposits only on puppies 4 weeks old or younger.
If you are unable to pick up/receive  your puppy up by the date he/she will be ready, please contact us immediately. We will as a courtesy to you hold your puppy here for a additional week at no charge. After that date you will be responsible for any charges for additional care including vaccinations, dewormings.
Shipping is available to most larger airports. Shipping is safe and we insure our puppies as well. We try to get the puppy shipped to airport nearest you, but it must be serviced by the airlines we use, Delta or Continental. We cannot use Delta in the summer months due to heat restrictions. Please be aware that not all airplanes can carry puppies. They must have a climate controlled area for pets. There for flights are more select. We try to accommodate your schedule, but often you'll have to accommodate the airlines schedule instead. Flight are booked after final payment has been made. You will be provided all necessary information for pickup at that time. Puppies are generally picked up at the airports cargo area. You will need to show ID at that time to pick your puppy up.
